Irish Repertory Theatre continues its 25th Anniversary Season with Grammy-nominee Phil Coulter in The Songs I Love So Well, with previews set to begin November 29, prior to its official Off-Broadway opening on Thursday, December 6 on The Irish Repertory Theatre's Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage (132 West 22nd Street).

The Songs I Love So Well celebrates acclaimed Irish musician Phil Coulter's storied career. With his warm Irish brogue as well as his familiar contemporary keyboard style, Coulter presents some of his best loved, and most personal compositions and folk songs, including "My Boy," "Home from the Sea," "The Man from God Knows Where," "Keep a Candle in the Window," and "The Town I Loved So Well," about his childhood in Derry, Northern Ireland.

Musician and producer Phil Coulter is an Irish artist with an international reputation as a successful songwriter, pianist, music producer, arranger, director, and storyteller. He is one of the biggest record sellers in Ireland with numerous Platinum, Gold and Silver discs. His career spans more than four decades, garnering a Grammy nomination for his Celtic new age album "Highland Cathedral"; two Grand Prix Eurovision awards; and among others honors, the prestigious Gold Badge from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA). His songs have been recorded by Elvis Presley ("My Boy"), Sinead O'Connor, Cliff Richards, The Bay City Rollers, The Irish Tenors, and others.

Phil Coulter has toured the United States, selling out such venues as New York's prestigious Carnegie Hall, the 4,000-seat Chicago Theatre in Chicago, and Symphony Hall in Boston. He has received three personal invitations from former President Bill Clinton to perform at The White House; and has performed to 600,000 outdoors on CapitAl Hill in Washington, D.C, with the National Symphony Orchestra. In New York, he has marched at the head of the St. Patrick's Day Parade. He has also toured and recorded with James Galway.

The Songs I Love So Well features musical direction by Mr. Coulter; with set design by Charlie Corcoran; lighting design by Michael Gottlieb; and sound design by Zachary Williamson.

Special guests are to be announced.

Co-founded by Producing Director Ciarán O'Reilly and Artistic Director Charlotte Moore, The Irish Repertory Theatre opened its doors in September 1988 with Sean O'Casey's THE PLOUGH AND THE STARS. The mission of the theatre was and remains to bring works by Irish and Irish American masters and contemporary playwrights to American audiences; to provide a context for understanding the contemporary Irish American experience; and to encourage the development of new works focusing on the Irish and Irish American experience, as well as a range of other cultures. Ms. Moore and Mr. O'Reilly received the 2011 Eugene O'Neill Lifetime Achievement Award from Irish American Writers & Artists, Inc.

Currently at The Irish Repertory Theatre, with performances through November 25, are Brian Friel's THE FREEDOM OF THE CITY, in the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage, directed by Ciarán O'Reilly; and Julian Sands in A CELEBRATION OF Harold Pinter, directed by John Malkovich, in the W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre.
