"As it turns out, with these two, the delusions match."

By Kate in Don't You F**cking Say a Word

The world premiere of Don't You F**cking Say a Word is now being performed at 59E59 Theaters through Sunday, December 4th. This clever play by Andy Bragen features meticulous direction by Lee Sunday Evans and has a fantastic cast of four. It is a very entertaining yet thought provoking piece about a tennis rivalry and how seriously players approach the game. Sports buffs and many, many more will enjoy this show.

In the show, two men meet weekly for tennis matches at public courts in downtown Manhattan. They both have time on their hands. Russ is a waiter auditioning for acting jobs. Brian is underemployed and is applying for positions. Their regular tennis sets are portrayed as their girlfriends, Kate and Leslie, scrutinize the men's competitiveness and also talk about their respective romantic relationships. But when an altercation between Russ and Brian occurs on the courts, "the incident" reveals a great deal about the dynamics of this not-so-friendly foursome. Don't You F**cking Say a Word is an intriguing comedy about the games people play.

The cast includes Bhavesh Patel as Brian; Jeanine Serralles as Leslie; Jennifer Lim as Kate and Michael Braun as Russ. Their spirited performances breathe full like into this fascinating show. They deliver the well-crafted, fast-paced dialogue seamlessly.

The Creative Team has done an ideal job of bringing the play to the 59E59 Theaters stage. You'll be treated to the show courtside with set design by Amy Rubin; costuming by Asta Bennie Hostetter; lighting design by Masha Tsimring; sound design by Amy Altadonna. The Prop Master is Emilie Grossman; Stage Manager is Karen Evanouskas and the Assistant Stage Manager is Esti Bernstein. Social Media is by Sam DiGiovanni.

See Don't You F**king Say a Word. It's a wonderfully staged show that depicts the field of sports as a testing ground for men and proves that that a person's backhand isn't the most important thing in life.
