The National Theatret brings Little Eyolf to Norway this May. Under direction of Sofia Jupither, this plays asks the question: are we so concerned with how we should relate to our children that we forget to relate to them?

The play is set to open 24 May, 2019 with a closing night set for 18 June.

For Eyolf is a child who is not seen. As a little boy he fell down from the changing table because his parents, Rita and Alfred, were so concerned about each other that they forgot their boy. The emotional warfare between Rita and Alfred is what is most often highlighted in the play. In his version, Jupither wants to make Eyolf the main character. Little Eyolf drowns. Rita and Alfred, played by Pia Tjelta and Kåre Conradi, do not see what they have until they have lost it.

Little Eyolf is also going to be part of the Hedda Days 2019 Festival which takes place in June 11 through 18.
