Andrea Rivette was born in upstate New York and has been active in musical theater since the age of four. After many years working in the professional theater circuit in South Florida, she returned to NYC to join the cast of the National Tour of Miss Saigon as the understudy for Ellen (on tour and Broadway), a role she eventually took over for almost 2 years, starring opposite Will Chase and Steven Pasquale. Andrea also appeared on the National Tour as Emma Carew in Jekyll and Hyde, a role she continued on Broadway with David Hasselhoff, Rob Evan, Joseph Mahowald, and Sebastian Bach. Other credits include Fantine in Les Miserables at TUTS in Houston, TX. Extensive concert work highlights include The Christmas Spectacular standing by for Broadway star, Andrea McArdle, Bringing Broadway Home with Chuck Wagner, Broadway Songbook with Charles Pistone of Broadways Most Happy Fella, Kiss of the Spiderwoman and Les Miserables, various concerts with Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway, and The Bushnell's 75th Anniversary Gala Concert in Hartford, CT, starring Florence Lacey, John Cudia, Hugh Panero and Charles Pistone under the musical direction of Tim Stella, currently the associate conductor for The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. Favorite regional credits include: "Irving Berlin's White Christmas" (Betty Haynes), "Showboat" (Magnolia), Maury Yeston/Arthur Kopit "Phantom" (Christine), understudy to Kristin Chenoweth, "The Fantasticks" (Luisa), "Lucky Stiff" (Rita LaPorta), "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" (Narrator), "Pirates of Penzance" (Mabel), "Into the Woods" (The Baker's Wife) and the wonderful Kander and Ebb review "And The World Goes 'Round." Andrea dedicates all of her performances to Johnny, Milt, uncle bobby and poppy.
