SPTC ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR CHRISTOPHER DURANG COMEDY
Santa Paula Theater Center will hold auditions for the Tony Award winning comedy VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE by Christopher Durang on Wednesday and Thursday, May 6 & 7 from 7-9 pm at the Santa Paula Theater Center, 125 South 7th Street, Santa Paula, CA 93060. With VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE, comic genius Christopher Durang creates a wildly funny farce about a self-absorbed movie star – with her 20-something boy toy in tow – who returns to the family’s Pennsylvania farmhouse to visit her brother and sister. Her arrival, and subsequent announcement, quickly turns this genial reunion into a hilarious free-for-all. Winner of the 2013 Tony Award, New York Drama Critics’ Circle, Drama League, and Drama Desk awards, all for best play of the season, Christopher Durang’s delightfully off-kilter summer romp is a laugh-out-loud comedy with a touch of naughty!
