The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane (non AEA, volunteer/ unpaid)
From the book by Kate DiCamillo
Adapted by Dwayne Hartford
Produced by special arrangement with THE DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY of Woodstock, Illinois
Join us for this beautiful, hilarious, and bittersweet tale about found family and self-discovery. The story begins with a self-absorbed toy rabbit named Edward. Over 20 years, as Edward meets people from every walk of life, he learns how to love and be loved. While this play can be done with as few as 4 actors, the play has 36 characters. Ideally, we'd like to cast a core group of 6-10 adult performers to drive the storytelling and a larger ensemble of 20+ children and adults to fill out the world of the play. We're particularly interested in casting folks who play instruments and/or like to sing.
