Pandemic Collective will be holding auditions for Tyburn: Deadly Nevergreen, written and directed by Rhea Amos, playing February 20th-28th at The Bakery Arts Warehouse. Tyburn: Deadly Nevergreen tells the legend of London's first public gallows, the Tyburn Tree. The infamous Tyburn Tree is best known for ending the lives of murderers and royalty alike, and the ghosts who haunt the purgatory of the gallows are damned to retell their fateful tales. The play is narrated with prose and music by Jack Ketch, the most infamous hangman associated with the Tyburn Tree.
Auditions will be held on Sunday January 18th from 12 to 4 pm at Family Star Montessori School at 2246 Federal Boulevard. Actors are asked to prepare a one minute classical dramatic monologue. Extra brownie points if it's horror, or performed with an English dialect, heightened or lowbrow. Even MORE brownie points if you can prepare 16 bars of a song to perform at auditions a capella, as there is a strong folk music element in this piece. Please bring your headshot and resume. Character descriptions are as follows:
Isaac Atkinson - a highwayman known for his bravado
Robert Foulkes - a tortured minister with murderous tendencies
Eleanor Cobham - Duchess of Gloucester, a delicate mystic
