Tributes is a musical adaptation of the best-selling novel and movie 'The Hunger Games' by Suzanne Collins - written , produced and performed by and for fans of the franchise. We are planning a staged reading of the show to be filmed and premiered as part of the online convention Victory Tour 2013 at the end of June (www.VictoryTour2013.com).

Notes:
1. This is going to be a very fast rehearsal process, so highly motivated individuals who can learn harmonies, movement, and lines quickly are especially encouraged to audition. The show will be script-in-hand but the music requires at-home attention as well.
2. Please prepare 2 songs for your audition: a ballad and an uptempo piece, each 16 - 32 bars. An accompanist will be provided, or you may choose to audition acapella if you prefer. There will be no dance call, however we will be asking about your dance and stage combat experience if mentioned on your form.

Auditions are being schedulyoued in ten minute slots to allow time for both songs and any discussion we wish to have with you, as we are not planning for callbacks.
Characters range from children as young as twelve to middle-aged adults. All roles are currently open. These include the leading roles of Katniss, Peeta, Gale, Haymitch, Effie, Cinna, Prim, Mrs. Everdeen, Rue, Cato, Clove, Glimmer, and Lavinia the Avox. Also, there are named supporting roles (Madge Undersee, Mayor Undersee, Caesar Flickerman, Greasy Sae, Thresh) as well as unnamed tributes and the greek chorus of Avoxes.
Additionally, we are looking for very few non-singing roles. These are dance roles: Foxface, Young Peeta, and Young Katniss. (Note: Caesar Flickerman does not sing or dance; rather, he needs to be a strong personality for narrating the Games.)
