"Thomas Was Alone" was released in June 2012 for the PC and Mac. It was released for the PS3 and the PS Vita in April 2013 and released for Linux in May 2013. The game tells the story of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) named Thomas who, due to a glitch in programming, has suddenly gained sentience and seeks to escape into the outside world. The programmers, determined to make sure this never happens, develop a series of increasingly complex puzzles that always keep him just one step away from freedom. Along the way, Thomas encounters other AIs who all embody various shapes, sizes and colors as quadrilaterals. Through the use of friendship, collaboration, and sometimes rivalry, the AIs work together to find an escape. Having sold over 700,000 copies to date, the game is very popular worldwide.
