The Golden Girls are getting ready for the annual Shady Pines Retirement Home Gay Pride Talent Show when down on his luck guest star, Ricky Martin moves in next door. His wild, all night, salsa sessions keep distracting the ladies from getting their much needed rehearsal. What ensues is a hilarious feud that can only end with one act as the most talented queens of Shady Pines. Featuring an original pop score, a 1980's fashion show, and the Ultimate Golden Girls Trivia Challenge, “THE GOLDEN GIRLS MUSICAL PARODY - PRIDE EDITION is a highly irreverent, yet loving send-up of TV's The Golden Girls that proves to be simultaneously evocative of the greatest moments from the original sitcom and a show with a voice all its own.
[ DOROTHY ]
25 to 65 years old, Caucasian male. 5'11 or taller A brainy, no nonsense, ball buster from New York. Sarcastic and dry sense of humor. Must be able to impersonate Bea Arthur, must have excellent comic timing, must sing and dance well.
[ POP SUPERSTAR RICKY MARTIN ]
25 to 50 years old, Hispanic male. Must have an excellent physique and be comfortable appearing shirtless. A Has-Been version of the famous of the famous Latin pop star who is oozing with sex appeal and he knows it. He is out and proud and bit obnoxious about it. He plays several other characters: Ex husband Stan, a bratty girl scout, a Miami Vice private investigator, and Southerner Big Daddy. Must have great comic timing, must be able to do a latin accent, must sing pop music and dance well.
