South Bend Civic Theatre will hold auditions for To Kill a Mockingbird, adapted by Christopher Sergel from Harper Lee’s beloved novel, Monday, April 7 and Tuesday, April 8 from 6 – 9 PM in the Wilson Theatre at 403 N. Main Street.
One of the best-loved novels of all time takes the stage in an unforgettable story of growing up and seeing the world through new eyes. Scout, the daughter of small town Southern lawyer Atticus Finch, learns lessons of family, prejudice, hatred, and overcoming fear. A timeless tale that has enthralled generations unfolds live and up close at SBCT.
Director Gary Oesch is seeking a large ensemble, including children’s roles and African-American roles. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script, no prepared monologues are necessary.
