DOWNTOWN ART AUDITIONS
We are seeking young actors ages 12-18 for our first production of the 2014 season, THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS, based on the novel by Lewis Carroll.
AUDITION DATE: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 4:30PM
This is a group audition and will last one hour and 15 minutes. Auditioners will receive information, work in small groups on scenes, and sing 'Happy Birthday.'
No preparation is necessary. No previous experience is required.
All young artists accepted into the company participate free of charge.

SCHEDULE FOR
THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS if cast:
Rehearsals: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30 - 6:15 starting Tuesday, Oct 8.
Tech Week: Feb. 15 - 20(public school winter break); daily rehearsals.
Performances: Friday andSaturday evenings, Feb. 21 through March 8.
Note: You must be available for all rehearsals, including all tech week rehearsals, and all performance dates in order to be cast. Further details will be handed out at the auditions.

ABOUT US
Downtown Art, under the direction of Ryan Gilliam and Michael Hickey, has been collaborating with young artists to create original music and theater work since 1997. The company is based in the East 4th Street Cultural District with a long history of engaging the community of the East Village and Lower East Side.
These projects are made possible in part through support from the NYC Dept. of Cultural Affairs and the New York State Council on the Arts.
