Forget about the boy when a small town girl searches for a new life in the bright lights of 1920's New York City.THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE JR., based on the zany musical that took Broadway by storm, is the high-spirited musical romp that had all of New York dancing the Charleston!In New York City in 1922, young Millie Dillmount has just moved to the big city in search of a new life for herself. It's a New York full of intrigue and jazz - in a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. ABOUT HONK JR:
Since it first hatched in 1993 HONK! has winged its way around the world in over 8000 productions and in many different languages. Adapted for young performers, and with a score by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe (MARY POPPINS), HONK! JR. is a heart-warming celebration of being different that is sure to delight audiences of all ages with its sparkling wit and memorable score.Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother's protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on adventure of self discovery all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry Cat. Along the way Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out being different is not a bad thing to be. -Music Theatre International
