THE WIZARD OF OZ - Old Library Theatre
Old Library Theatre, Fair Lawn Recreation Department's resident theater company, announces Auditions for its Youth Theatre Production of The Wizard of Oz: Wednesday, March 5 from 4-8pm and Saturday, March 8 from 9am-1pm. Callbacks by appointment Saturday, March 8 from 1-4pm. All Roles Open. Ages 8-17. Auditions will be held in the Teen Lounge in the basement level of the Fair Lawn Recreation Center, 10-10 20th Street, Fair Lawn, NJ.
Prepare ONE minute of a song that showcases your vocal range, preferably from a show. Do NOT sing Over The Rainbow, unless you are auditioning for Dorothy. Anyone auditioning for a lead MUST come prepared to FIRST sing an ALTERNATE SONG, as well as a song from the show. The show is directed by Jo Ann Ventor. An accompanist will be provided, so bring sheet music in the appropriate key. Be prepared for reading sides. Wear comfortable clothes for a movement audition. Please bring head shot (or recent photo) and resume. BE PROMPT, BE PREPARED, BE PATIENT.
Rehearsals will be scheduled for Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Show dates are May 16, 17, 18. It is free to audition, but those cast will be asked to pay a one-time $75 participation fee. For more information, please visit us online at
