South Bend Civic Theatre will hold auditions for the popular musical The Wiz Tuesday, January 21 from 6-9 PM and Sunday, January 26 from 3-5 PM in the Social Hall at First United Methodist Church (across the street from the theatre on Madison St) – please enter through the West Door into the basement.
Guest artist Chris Carter will direct and choreograph this favorite urban adaptation of “The Wizard of Oz.” At least 20 actors are sought for a wide range of roles. Prospective actors are asked to bring a prepared piece of music in a style similar to the show, and sheet music or a karaoke style CD along for accompaniment. Actors are also requested to bring clothes for movement and jazz sneakers/shoes and tap shoes if they have them. Auditions will be begin promptly at the start times so all actors are asked to be there at the beginning of the session.
