AUDITION CHECK IN will take place in the DRAMA LAB (PAC-1170) on the Folsom campus of Folsom Lake College, 10 College Parkway (off E. Bidwell St.), Folsom,CA 95630.

Two dollar parking permits are available at kiosks located throughout the parking lots.

VOCAL AUDITION

Prepare 16 bars of your choice that highlights your vocal range. Choose a song in the rock-and-roll/Broadway style of The Who’s Tommy. You may select a song from the show. Bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided.

DANCE AUDITION

You will participate in a movement audition. No preparation is necessary. Wear loose fitting attire that allows for easy movement. Jazz shoes or tennis shoes are recommended. No bare feet or socks are allowed. Specific choreography from the show will be given during dance callbacks.

MONOLOGUE AUDITION

Auditioners MUST prepare a monologue that is no more than 50 seconds long from a play. No teleplays, screenplays or passages from novels or song lyrics will be accepted. No original writing. The monologue should best portray the actor’s strengths and can be of any genre. Monologue must be memorized.

HEADSHOT AND RESUME

These are requested, though not required. Bring 8x10 headshot and a resume outlining training and performing experience for acting, dancing and singing.

Rehearsal Dates

February 8 through April 14, 2016. Rehearsal times might include weeknights and weekends. Minor conflicts with these dates are permissible. Significant conflicts with these dates are not allowed. Be prepared to provide your complete calendar of availability at the first audition.

Performance Dates

April 15 through April 23, 2016, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30pm and Saturday and Sunday at 2pm. Performances will be held on Stage One at the Harris Center at Folsom Lake College.
