TheatreWorks New Milford Holds Casting Call for
The Tale of the Allergist's Wife

TheatreWorks New Milford is seeking a cast of 2 men (ages 20 to 60) and 3 women (ages 40 to 80) for The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, an outrageous Tony Award-nominated comedy by Charles Busch.
In The Tale of the Allergist's Wife Marjorie Taub, a middle-aged Upper West Side doctor's wife, is devoted to mornings at the Whitney, afternoons at MOMA and evenings at BAM. Plunged into a mid-life crisis of Medea-like proportions, she's shaken out of her lethargy by the reappearance of a fascinating and somewhat mysterious childhood friend. Can Marjorie, her long-suffering mother and her loving husband Ira, Board Certified Allergist, survive the shake-up? This uproarious comedy received a Tony Award nomination for Best Play of 2001.
Auditions will be held at TheatreWorks, 5 Brookside Ave., New Milford(next to the CVS) on Monday, February 22 and Tuesday, February 23, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Actors do not have to be the ages listed but must be able to believably play within the ranges specified. Auditions will consist of reading from the script. All roles are available and both professionals and amateurs are welcome. No appointments are necessary. TheatreWorks offers a stipend to all performers, technicians, and directors. Rehearsals begin in March with performances running April 29 to May 21, 2016.
