Pioneer Theatre Company Announces Auditions for the Play
The Philadelphia Story

Auditions for Pioneer Theatre Company’s play, The Philadelphia Story, by Philip Barry, will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012, from 12 noon to 5:00 p.m.
Tracy Lord is young, beautiful, sophisticated, fabulously wealthy, and about to marry what she thinks is the man of her dreams. But when her dashing ex-husband and the two reporters assigned to cover her wedding descend on her family’s opulent country house outside Philadelphia the day before the ceremony, Tracy has a hard time keeping her nuptials—not to mention the dictates of her own heart—on track.
Audition slots from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012 are for Actors’ Equity members only. Audition slots from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. are open to all auditioners (auditioners must be 18 years old or older). The audition slots are limited to five minutes.
AEA and Non-AEA auditioners must come in to sign up on the callboard in Room 325 at the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. The sign-up sheet will be posted by noon on Friday, October 5, 2012. Auditions will be held at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre.
All auditioners will be asked to read from the script. Sides from the play will be available when auditioners sign-up. Auditions will be held in Room 245 at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. A photo and resume are recommended.
Callbacks will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012. Callback times, which are to be announced later, will be provided to auditioners who are invited back.

Rehearsal dates for the production are Monday, December 17, 2012 – Thursday, January 10, 2013; performance dates are Friday, January 11, 2013 – Saturday, January 26, 2013. Guest director Jenn Thompson will direct the production.
All roles are currently available; all auditioners must be 18 or older.
