AUDITION NOTICE
FOR
“The Grapes of Wrath”
AUDITIONS - General Auditions - September 30th 9-1 and Callbacks October 1 10-1
Auditions will be held at Imagination Theater on Saturday, September 30th from 9 to 1. Check in time to fill out audition forms will start at 8:30. Audition will consist of cold readings from the script. Scripts will be available to check out from the IT! Box Office starting August 1st. Call backs will be held on Sunday morning from 10 to 1pm.
The cast consists of 14 men, 12 women, 8 children and 4 musicians. The musicians will be auditioned at a separate time. This is not a musical but has live music that is played throughout the show. The musicians consist of Guitar, Fiddle, Harmonica, Saw, Banjo, Accordion and Bass.
There are 7 male lead and supporting roles ranging in age from 17 to 60+
There are 4 female lead and supporting roles ranging in age from 16 to 60+
The children ages range from 8 to 12 years.
There are several character roles for men and women that will be fun to play. Several supporting actors will play more than one part. The three children’s roles with lines are Ruthie Joad, age 11 or 12, Winfield Joad (a boy), age 9 or 10, and a young boy, age 9 to 11.

INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP - September 23 10-12 @ Theater
There will an Informational and Audition Workshop on the Dust Bowl and The Grapes of Wrath on Saturday, September 23rd from 10 to 12 at Imagination Theater on the El Dorado County Fairgrounds. This workshop is to give interested people some information on the Dust Bowl, some of the exciting things we will be doing with this play and some insight into the characters in the play. I would encouraged people interested in auditioning for The Grapes of Wrath to attend this workshop but it is not a requirement to audition.
