THE FUNNIEST COMIC IN NEW ENGLANG - Treehouse Comedy Club

Comedy in Cromwell Heats Up In 2013

On January 5th at 10:00 The Treehouse will hold its seventh and final Audition at the Treehouse Comedy Club at Billy Tee’s in Cromwell for “The Funniest Comic in New England” Contest and the opportunity for comics to compete for $10,000.00 in cash and prizes. Auditions will also fan-out to other New England states and comedy affiliates in Massachusetts and Rhode Island throughout the month of January with sixty comics will be chosen for the annual contest held at the Cabaret Theatre at Mohegan Sun. This audition is open to the general public and tickets are only $10.

The Treehouse Comedy Club at Billy Tee’s in Cromwell has been cranking out weekly comedy for a handful of months now and is also proud to announce two upcoming celebrity comedy events.

Comedian Rich Vos will perform in Cromwell on Saturday January 12th at 9:00. Rich Vos first came to fame from the NBC’s hit reality show “Last Comic Standing” where Rich was a finalist and third place finisher in Season’s 1 and 3. Vos is one of the most exciting and broadest headlining comedians in the country.

Vos has Two Comedy Central Half-Hour Specials under his belt and he has been a regular guest on “The Opie and Anthony Show” for the past 10 years. Vos has appeared on HBO, Showtime, Starz, “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” NBC’s “American Dreams” and “The View.” He is also a regular on the “Joy Behar Show” and has made three appearances at the Apollo, four appearances on BET, and was the first white comic to perform onHBO’s “Def Comedy Jam.” Vos has written for the Oscars, and has appeared on and wrote for many Comedy Central Roasts.

“Still Empty Inside” is Rich Vos’ latest CD, which can be found on ITunes. Back Stage Magazine said, “He has an uncanny ‘Everyman’ ability to likeably bond with anyone in the audience…” The excitement of a Rich Vos show stems from his unique, no-holds-barred perspective on relationships, divorce and parenthood. Vos pulls no punches when it comes to comedy. On many occasions, he will deliver some of the quickest crowd banter, leaving audiences not knowing what to expect next. Vos and Bonnie’s hysterical weekly Podcast titled “My Wife Hates Me” can also be downloaded on ITunes. There is one more show in Cromwell we want to announce.

Mitch Fatel released his second Comedy Central special entitled “Mitch Fatel is Magical”. He will appear at the Treehouse Comedy Club at Billy Tee’s on Feb 2nd at 9:00 and tickets will be $19.50. His first special was voted one of the “top ten” stand-up specials on Comedy Central last year and #6 all-time. This encore television comedy special will be an hour long increasing his earlier show by 100%. Mitch has also done stand-up on Letterman and Conan, but it is his twenty “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” correspondent pieces that launched him into the national spotlight. Billy Tee’s is located at 150 Sebethe Dr. in Cromwell, CT
