Auditions for Pioneer Theatre Company's The Count of Monte Cristo will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Callbacks will be held Sunday, November 8 and Monday, November 9, by invitation only.
Following long sold-out runs in Europe and Asia, Pioneer Theatre Company presents the professional U.S. premiere of this new musical by composer Frank Wildhorn.
On the very day of his wedding to the beautiful Mercedes, young Edmund Dantes is framed by three men, arrested and thrown into the notorious prison Chateau d'If. Befriended by a fellow prisoner, he plots a daring escape, unearths a secret fortune and returns to Marseilles and Paris disguised as the mysterious Count of Monte Cristo, determined to seek vengeance on the men who framed him.
Pioneer Theatre Company Musical Auditions for The Count of Monte Cristo
Each audition slot is three minutes, singing only. Seeking strong actor/singers who move really well. Fight skills a plus. Each audition slot is three minutes, singing only. Please prepare a contemporary musical theatre piece (Wildhorn preferred) or pop song. Accompanist will be provided.
Auditions will be Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
AEA ONLY auditions between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. AEA and Non-AEA auditions between 1:00 p.m and 5:00 p.m.
Callbacks will be held on Sunday, November 8, and Monday, November 9, 2015, by invitation only. Callback times will be provided to auditioners who are invited back.
Auditioners must be 18 years or older. A headshot and resume are recommended.
All auditioners must come in to sign up on the callboard in Room 325 at the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. The sign-up sheet will be posted on Friday, October 30, 2015.
Rehearsals dates for this production are April 7 through May 5, 2016. Performances are from May 6 through May 21, 2016. Marsha Miglrom Dodge will direct; musical supervision will be Kim Scharenberg and the musical director will be Michael Sebastian.
