The Coterie and Unicorn Theatre Combine
Adult Auditions for Their 2017–2018 Seasons

WHAT: The Coterie Theatre and Unicorn Theatre will hold combined auditions for professional adult actors (18 years of age and older) - Equity and non-Equity - for their respective 2017-2018 seasons.
WHEN: April 24, 25; May 1, 2, 3, 2017 – May 2 and 3 reserved for Equity appointments made by phone April 3-7.
Auditions are by appointment only.
WHERE: Unicorn Theatre, 3828 Main Street, Kansas City, Missouri
CONTACT: Beginning April 3, at 12:00pm (CST), professional actors may schedule an individual audition online at www.thecoterie.org/auditions or www.unicorntheatre.org/?page=about-auditions. Equity actors may schedule an audition for May 2, or May 3, by calling 816-474-4241. All other dates to be scheduled online. All dates will be open to all actors for online scheduling starting April 8.
OTHER: Actors will be asked to perform two contrasting contemporary monologues (no Shakespeare), two minutes each; no classical material. Singing auditions will occur only if you are called back. Actors must bring two head shots and two resumes.
The Coterie’s 2017-2018 season includes:
- We Shall Not Be Moved, by Ed Simpson, directed by Jeff Church.
- A Charlie Brown Christmas (musical), directed by Bill Christie.
- Tuck Everlasting, by Natalie Babbitt, adapted by Mark J. Frattaroli, directed by Jeff Church.
- Jack and the Bean ¡Mágico! (bi-lingual play with songs), by Linda Carson, directed by Kim Selody.
- Goosebumps: Phantom of the Auditorium (musical), directed by Jerry Jay Cranford.
- Dramatic Health Education Project: STDs/HIV (local tour), educational local tour throughout the school year, directed by Michael Smith & Matt Leonard.

- Informed Consent, by Deborah Zoe Laufer
Roles for AEA in all shows and some non-AEA roles available.
