Jarrott Productions will hold auditions for Lucy Kirkwood’s THE CHILDREN on Saturday, February 23rd, from 10am-2pm at the Trinity Street Playhouse, located inside the First Baptist Church at 901 Trinity in downtown Austin. ?
THE CHILDREN received two 2018 Tony nominations (Best Play and Best Featured Actress in a Play). Snapshot synopsis: two retired nuclear scientists are living a quiet life in an isolated cottage by the sea as the world around them crumbles. Then an old friend arrives with a frightening request.

Schedule an Audition
If necessary, callbacks will be Sunday, February 24th, at 5pm. All who audition will be notified one way or another about the results of the auditions.
We will be auditioning for the roles of Rose and Hazel: Female Identifying, 60s, any ethnicity. The role of Robin has been cast. Auditions will consist of reading from the sides found
here.
Sides do not have to be memorized, but be familiar with all four sides even though you may end up reading only one or two in the auditions. Please prepare a British dialect (Standard RP is fine).
Rehearsals will begin March 25th; tech week begins April 15th; opening is April 25th; closing is May 19th. THE CHILDREN will be directed by Carlo Lorenzo Garcia. ?
All actors will be compensated.
