Auditions for The Adobe Theater's production of THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER by Barbara Robinson and directed by Warren and Courtney Wilgus.
In this hilarious Christmas tale, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids-- probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won't believe the mayhem-- and the fun-- when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on!
Performance dates:
December 6-22; Fridays @ 8pm, Saturdays @ 2pm and 8pm, and Sundays @ 2pm
Actors must be available for all regularly scheduled performances.
Audition Location: Saturday September 21, 2013 at The Adobe Theater.
Available roles: 5 women, 4 men, 9 girls, 8 boys
Children: (ages 5-14) 9:00 - 11:00 AM
Adults: Noon – 2:00 PM
Callbacks (if needed ) 3:00 – 5:00 PM
*Auditions will consist of cold readings and improvisational scenarios. Actors will also be asked to sing a portion of a Christmas carol of their choosing, unaccompanied. No preparation or music is required.
*Families and siblings are welcome to audition together; there is no guarantee that all family members or siblings will be cast or be cast as related characters.
REHEARSALS
October 21 - December 5
Rehearsals will mainly take place Monday-Thursday 6.30pm - 9pm, with Fridays being added closer to opening of the show. Cast members will have time off for Halloween and Thanksgiving. A tentative rehearsal schedule will be provided at the audition, so please bring a list of potential conflicts with you.
