A massive Talent Search is on the way in Nampa, Idaho. The Music Theatre of Idaho announces auditions for it’s 26th Fabulous season, including, Titanic the musical, Beauty and the Beast, Tuck Everlasting, Tik, Tik Boom! Cinderella, Sweeny Todd, the demon barber of fleet street and Elf the musical. Hundreds of roles are available for men, women and children, eight years and older. No experience is necessary! Auditions will be held Friday, November 18, by appointment only. To schedule an audition, go the audition 2023 page at the MTI website, broadwaynampa.org. Call back auditions for select performers will be on Saturday, November 19. All auditions will be held at the Nampa Civic Center. Those auditioning will prepare one song from the approved song list (available upon registration), to perform for a maximum of two minutes. There will also be a dance/movement portion of the audition. Instructions for those auditioning are available on the website. Descriptions of the roles available and vocal ranges needed are also on the website. Performers of all ages and genders will be considered.
The Music Theatre of Idaho is a community based, professional quality, professionally managed, non profit, Theatre Company. Each year the MTI casts 150+ performers to fill hundreds of roles in 6-8 musicals. All musicals are performed in the Brandt auditorium of the Nampa Civic Center. The MTI operates a full scale rehearsal facility at 8626 Birch Lane in Nampa, which includes a rehearsal hall, costume shop, scene shop and box office as well as teaching facilities for Academy of the Arts classes, which are offered year round.
