Producer Jo Schuman Silver has announced auditions for male and female performers and understudies for Steve Silver’s Beach Blanket Babylon, the world’s longest running musical revue. Auditions will be held Saturday, March 5 at 2 p.m. at Club Fugazi (678 Beach Blanket Babylon Boulevard) in San Francisco's North Beach district. No appointment is necessary.
Auditioners must have a strong singing voice and be at least 18 years old and appear 35 or younger. Auditioners must bring a current résumé, photo and sheet music in their own key. Singers should be prepared to sing one up-tempo number (preferably rock or pop) and one ballad. An accompanist will be provided. Comic timing, acting skills and the ability to imitate popular culture icons are a plus. Please wear shoes you can move in.
