Oyster Mill Playhouse announces auditions for Spider’s Web

Oyster Mill Playhouse in Camp Hill is holding auditions for its first show of the 2014 season, the mystery Spider’s Web by Agatha Christie. Auditions will take place on December 1st at 1:30 pm and December 2nd at 6:30 pm. It is produced by special arrangement with Samuel French.

Those interested in auditioning are highly encouraged to bring a prepared monologue 3 to 5 minutes in length. Resumes are always welcomed. There will also be cold readings from the script. British dialects strongly encouraged. Rehearsals will be 4 evenings per week with some weekend afternoons or evenings as needed. Schedule will be determined based on the conflicts of the cast and will be available at the first read-thru. Possible rehearsals (no more than 2) between December 25th through January 1st.

Directed by Lew Silverman, Spider’s Web brings to the story of Clarissa Brown, who likes to live in a fantasy world, telling tall tales to her circle of friends. When a body is found while she prepares for her husband's very important guest, her dream world becomes a reality. With her stepdaughter as the prime suspect and the victim the cause of her husband's first divorce, stories become tangled even after the murderer is revealed.
