Pippin is the story of one young man's journey to find himself and who he is in the world. He is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment.
This will be a new vision of the show using a cast of 10.

CASTING BREAKDOWN
Pippin: Male. 18-25, Our story's young and confused protagonist. He is longing to find his purpose in life. Naive, innocent, and discontent. Eventually finds love, and meaning in life, with Catherine and Theo. Vocal range: G2-Ab4
Leading Player: Any Gender, any Age, The ultimate 'ring leader.' Masterfully charming and manipulative, the Leading Player is a chameleon of sorts. Guides Pippin through his own story and tries to intervene at the end. excellent dancer. Obsessed with putting on a great show for the audience. Vocal range: Db3-Ab4
Ensemble of Players from which the following roles emerge (Double as Charlemagne's Army, Monks, Nobility, Peasants, etc.):
Charles: Male, 50-60, Pippin's demanding father. As the King of the Holy Roman Empire, Charlemagne is more comfortable wielding a sword than breaking bread. He wears his years with great pride. Vocal range: G2-E4
Fastrada: Female, 35-45, Pippin's conniving stepmother. A seductress, who is no stranger to deceit and betrayal, she is both sexy and smart. Skilled at using her sexual appeal to benefit her and her son. Vocal range: A3-F5
Lewis: Male, 18-25, Charlemagne and Fastrada’s son. Strong and not bright. Pippin’s half-brother and after Pippin, heir to the throne. Addicted to the physical, Lewis loves weightlifting, Lewis loves wrestling, but most of all, Lewis loves Lewis. Vocal Range: Any
Berthe: Any Gender, 60s, Pippin's saucy grandmother. A brassy broad full of wisdom, grace, and sass. She tries to help Pippin and encourages him to live his life to the fullest. Vocal range: E3-C5
Catherine: Female, 25-35, A widow and mother. She is a beautiful and a hopeless romantic, who possesses graceful elegance. Encounters Pippin at his lowest point and eventually falls in love with him. Vocal range: F#3-Db5
Theo: Catherine's young son. Vocal Range: Any
Player 1: Any Gender, Any Age. Vocal Range: Any
