AUDITIONS FOR THE GROVE THEATRE 30TH ANNIVERSARY SPECTACLE PETER PAN
The Grove Theatre in Upland, CA is announcing auditions for the opening of their 30th anniversary season – the magical musical production of Peter Pan. This classic musical for the entire family will have Peter Pan flying through the windows of the nursery to delight the audiences! The show is produced by Sherry Kinison. Kristopher Kyer makes his return to direct and be at the helm of this giant colorful production. Choreography is by Emily Relph. Jeannette Capuano is costumer. Assistant Director/Musical Director is Kathy Viselli Childs.
ALL ROLES ARE OPEN, with the exception of Captain Hook. All ethnicities welcome.

Rehearses the month of February through March 13th.
The performance dates are March 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 and April 3, 4, 5.

This is a non-Equity production and there is no pay. Looking for the following characters:
Peter Pan: Peter Pan is a boy without a care in the world. Originally written for and cast
as a female, this role is for an actor with a soaring can-do spirit who most certainly
“won’t grow up!” Performer who can do it all well: act, sing, dance and be as physical as
the part demands. Must not be afraid of heights and again the role is very physically
demanding. Gender: Any Vocal range top: C5 Vocal range bottom: F3
Wendy: Wendy is the eldest of the Darling children and has a certain maternal quality. Wendy is very bright, ever-practical and ready for an adventure! Proper British accent. A young lady with warm presence and great singing voice; actor; moves well; and can play a teen. Not afraid of heights, the actress will fly. Gender: Female Vocal range top: Db5 Vocal range bottom: Ab3
John Darling: 11-16yrs He is the middle Darling child and has an amicable and open presence. A little more proper than his younger brother. He is a good actor and singer who moves well. Not afraid of heights. Actor will fly. Gender: Male Vocal range top: Db5 Vocal range bottom: Ab3
Michael Darling: 6-10 yrs He is the youngest of the Darling children, and seems to have unlimited energy. He is the most stubborn of the Darling children. Sings, acts, moves well. Not afraid of heights. Actor will fly. Gender: Male Vocal range top: Db5 Vocal range bottom: Ab3
Nana: Nana is a dog. This performer should have a knack for physicality and be comfortable in a full dog costume. Gender: Any
Mrs. Darling: 40’s-60. She is the mother of Wendy, John and Michael, and she is the perfect picture of a mother. Commanding, British upper crust; sings and acts well. Gender: Female Vocal range top: Db5 Vocal range bottom: Ab3
Liza: 20’s-60’s is the Darling’s housekeeper who always seems to be in a bit of a frenzy as she tries to keep everyone pleased. Good, strong actress. Gender: Female
Older Wendy: 30’s-40’s Wendy grown up. Non singing role.
Jane: 6-9yrs Grown up Wendy’s young daughter who flies off to Neverland with Peter. non singing role
Tiger Lily: Teen-30’s is the fearless leader of the Brave Indian Warrior girls. A young lady who can command the stage and is a good actor, singer and dancer. Gender: Female Vocal range top: Db5 Vocal range bottom: Ab3
Indian Brave Girls: Teens-30’s a group of Neverland inhabitants. They are a fun bunch of girls who are as strong as they are kind. Strong dancers who sing and can portray individual personalities. Gender: Female Vocal range top: Db5 Vocal range bottom: Ab3
Lost Boys: 9-15yrs The Lost Boys are a group of lads who live in Neverland without a care in the world!
CASTING BOYS AND GIRLS: Individual roles of Nibs, Slightly, Curley, Tootles, Twin #1 and Twin # 2 included in the group of lost boys. Young actors who act, and sing and move very well. Gender: Male Vocal range top: C5 Vocal range bottom: Bb3
Pirates: The Pirates are a gaggle of villains who are looking to cause some trouble. ALL must have individual looks and personalities. Seeking character actors who seem like Cartoon characters who come to life. Roles include Noodles, Cecco, and Starkey. Character actors of all ages with comic timing, who act, sing, and move well. Gender: Any
Smee: 30’s-60’s is Captain Hook’s sidekick who wants nothing more than to see Captain Hook succeed in his evil plotting. He adores Hook in every way. Comedic actor who sings and moves well. Gender: Male
Crocodile: Like Nana, the Crocodile is a full costume character role. Actor cannot be afraid to wear a full mask/costume and crawl on stage. Gender: Any

OF MUSIC WILL BE REQUIRED.
ACCOMPANIST WILL BE PROVIDED. Be prepared to “dance” and/or do “movement” if asked.
