SCERA’s Theatre for Young Audiences announces Dec. 9th auditions for “Peter Pan’s Great Adventure”
SCERA’s Indoor Season announces auditions for its Winter 2016 Theatre For Young Audiences production of “Peter Pan’s Great Adventure,” an original one hour musical with book by Chase Ramsey and music and lyrics by David Paul Smith.
“Peter Pan’s Great Adventure” will be directed by its creators, Ramsey and Smith, and will play at the SCERA Center for the Arts February 8-26, with 10:00 am matinees Monday through Friday and 7:00pm shows on Mondays and Fridays.
The musical is cast with all adult actors, and auditions for ages 18 and older will be held on Wednesday, December 9 from 7:00-9:00pm in Room 201 at SCERA Center for the Arts, 745 South State, Orem. Auditioners should prepare 16 bars of a light-hearted musical theatre piece. IPOD playback or an accompanist will be provided.
Cast members must be available for morning rehearsals and for all morning matinees and evening performances.
ABOUT THE SHOW: The newest musical adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s classic tale of the boy who could fly and never grew up! Wendy and her brothers Michael and John meet the infamous Peter Pan and fly to Neverland, where they literally find themselves in a bind – tied to the mast of Captain Hook’s ship with the misfit Lost Boys…and only Peter Pan can save them from Hook and his foolhardy and featherbrained bunch of pirates! With the book by Chase Ramsey and music and lyrics by David Paul Smith, this great adventure features energized audience participation, catchy new music, and magical themes of following your dreams, using your imagination and learning that life is the greatest adventure of them all.
