Gobsmacked! Productions announces auditions for its Spring production of a new original play, “OCD: or the Trouble With Mrs. Henderson,” by Clay Edmonds. The production will run from February 4-16th 2014 at walkerspace in Tribeca.

A re-imagined Hedda Gabler set in 1950’s America, “OCD: or the Trouble With Mrs. Henderson” is a three act, seven character play that tells the tale of Henrietta Henderson, a lonely and bored housewife, who uses her obsessions and compulsions to insulate herself from the “enemy” (her husband and family)and ALWAYS gets her way.
Auditions will be at Shelter Studios 244 W. 54th Street, 12th Floor

Buddy Henderson: (20’s) Male Lead Henrietta’s husband- loves her intensely and unconditionally. His main goal in life is to make her happy.
Norma (20’s) Long suffering maid who works for Buddy’s mother, but who has been charged with helping Henrietta organize her new home.
Principal Baggett (mid 40’s-50’s) A longtime family friend of the Hendersons and Buddy and Henrietta’s former high school principal.
Janice Loveshaft: (20’s) One of Buddy’s first sweethearts and a major high school rival of Henrietta’s. Femme fatale type.
Guy Grethel: (20’s) Buddy’s former high school “rival.” Now a successful underwear model.
