The Rose To Host Auditions On Sept. 10th and 11th
For Its 2013 Production, “Narnia”

The Rose Theater will host an audition for adult and youth roles in its 2013 production of
“Narnia” at 6 pm on Tuesday, Sept.10th and Wednesday, Sept. 11th with callbacks on Friday,
Sept. 13th. Actors of all types are welcome to audition and must come to The Rose Theater,
2001 Farnam Street. Please come prepared to perform at least eight bars of a song. Actors
are encouraged to perform a short monologue and should come prepared to dance.

Actors must be available for weeknight/weekend rehearsals Nov. 4 - Dec. 5, 2013 and
weeknight/weekend performances between Dec. 5-29, 2013. No performances Dec. 23-25,
2013. This is a paid position for all adult actors. Minority actors are highly encouraged to
audition.

Youth actors (under 18 years of age) must attend by 6 pm. Adult actors must arrive by 7 pm.
About “Narnia”

Director Jesse Jou comes to Omaha from NYC to direct the moving and adventurous musical
adaptation of C.S. Lewis’s classic The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. In the story, four
children are whisked away from a troubled time in England to fulfill their destinies in the
enchanted land of Narnia. Jou is a recent recipient of the prestigious Drama League
Fellowship. His credits include work with the Acting Company (NYC), Yale Cabaret, and
Ars Nova (NYC). He holds an MFA in directing from the Yale School of Drama.
