WORLD PREMIERE
In the blink of an eye, a matter of seconds, your whole world can change. For Michael, it happened when his daughter, Theresa, went missing. For Theresa, it was when she was found. Cleveland native Rajiv Joseph makes his CPH premiere with this story of a family’s desperate and determined attempt to heal each other and rebuild their world. Mr. Wolf is a hauntingly beautiful and mysterious tale of adaptation and survival.
Seeking:
MR. WOLF/DOCTOR/FBI AGENT SIMON
(Male, 50-55, Caucasian) Mr. Wolf is Theresa’s kidnapper. Mild-mannered and intelligent; a community college Astronomy professor. He cares deeply for Theresa and believes he must prepare her as God’s prophet to vanquish the world’s corruption. Actor will also play the role of the DOCTOR who first examines Theresa upon rescue, and FBI AGENT SIMON who is investigating Theresa’s case.
GIRL(THERESA)
(Female, 14-15, Caucasian(Looking for both actresses over 18 who can play 14 and actresses who are actually 14-15)) Michael and Hana’s daughter. Kidnapped when she was three and raised by Mr. Wolf to believe she is a prophet. She knows almost nothing of the outside world, except what she has read in books. Theresa is highly intelligent and adaptive. She relies on logic not emotion.
MICHAEL
(Male, Late 30’s-Early 40’s, Caucasian) Theresa’s father, and Hana’s ex-husband. Has lived by- and preaches- a strict set of rules devised to maintain hope of finding his daughter alive. With Theresa’s return he must reconcile his current paradigm and his new reality. More intense than neurotic; his intensity can be off-putting at times.
HANA
(Female, Late 30’s-Early 40’s, Caucasian) Theresa’s mother and Michael’s ex-wife. She comes from a wealthy family. Hana posted a reward for Theresa’s return, but “gave up” on thinking Theresa would be found. She left Michael and has cultivated emotional restraint to cope with the loss of her child. She still loves Michael despite vehement objection to his rules and way of life.
JULIE
(Female, Late 20’s-Early 30’s, Any Race/Ethnicity) Michael’s new wife. She has also lost a child and tries to abide by Michael’s rules. It has been three years since her child was taken. She is the only adult unafraid to answer Theresa’s pointed questions about the world and the time she was abducted. Theresa’s return makes her question both Michael and herself
