Pixie Dust Players is thrilled to bring back opportunities for adult performers with our musical production of Little Women!
WHAT : Six generations have read the story. This one will sing it. This timeless, captivating story is brought to life in this glorious musical filled with personal discovery, heartache, hope and everlasting love.
Based on Louisa May Alcott's life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested – her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she has to do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America.
WHO : ?Performers ages 16 and older are welcome to audition! There is no participation fee for this production.
WHERE : All rehearsals and performances will be held at JCC Metrowest: 760 Northfield Ave, West Orange, NJ.
WHEN : Auditions will take place on January 3 and 4 between 7:00-8:15pm (appointments scheduled through website). Callbacks will be scheduled on January 6 and/or 7 by invitation.
Rehearsals will run from Jan 14 - Feb 2 (weekday evenings and Sunday afternoons -- scheduled based on availability)
Tech : Feb 4 - 8
Performances : Feb 10-18
WHAT TO PREPARE : Please prepare a 32-bar cut in the style of the show for your audition. Make sure to bring clearly marked sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
