TITANIC: THE MUSICAL - Town & Country Players

We are excited to announce auditions for Titanic: The Musical!

SEEKING:
20 non-union actors of all races, abilities, gender identities, and body types for Town & Country Players’ summer 2025 production of Titanic: The Musical, directed by Brad Ogden, music directed by Sue den Outer, and produced by Nancy Ridgeway.

AUDITION DATES & LOCATIONS:
Saturday, April 26th: 11:00am to 6:00pm - Trinity Buckingham Episcopal Church
2631 Durham Rd, Buckingham, PA
Sunday, April 27th: 6:00pm to 9:00pm - Buckingham Township Building
4613 Hughesian Dr, Buckingham, PA

OTHER KEY DATES & DETAILS:
All rehearsals and performances take place in Buckingham, PA:
- First Rehearsal: Sunday, May 18th
- Rehearsal Process: May 19 - July 9 (3 to 4 days per week); there will be NO rehearsals May 23-27 (Memorial Day weekend) or July 3-4 (4th of July)
- Tech: Saturday, July 5th & Sunday, July 6th
- Dress Rehearsals: July 7-9
- Performances: July 11-26 (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays)

PREPARATION:
Please prepare a 1 to 2-minute cut of a musical theater song in the style of the show (think epic ballads, Les Mis, Ragtime, other Maury Yeston, etc.) An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music along with a headshot and resume if you have them.
Your total audition will take place over the course of 45 minutes, including a 5-minute private vocal audition and a 15-minute group scene work and movement portion. (You will NOT be dancing; no special shoes or clothing required, just whatever you're comfortable in). Sides will be brief and provided at the audition, no preparation needed.

BREAKDOWN:
All performers should be strong singers and actors who are comfortable with movement and adept at portraying multiple characters (as many of the tracks require). All roles are unpaid.

Track 1 (M or F, 30s-40s): Plays THOMAS ANDREWS (Irish shipbuilder and the Titanic's naval architect)

Track 2 (M, 20s-30s): Plays FREDERICK BARRETT (English stoker), a 1ST CLASS PASSENGER, and a 3RD CLASS PASSENGER

Track 3 (M or F, 20s-30s): Plays HAROLD BRIDE (English junior wireless operator), JOSEPH BELL (English chief engineer), WALLACE HARTLEY (English violinist and the Titanic's bandmaster), a 1ST CLASS PASSENGER, and a 3RD CLASS PASSENGER

Track 4 (M or F, 20s-30s): Plays FREDERICK FLEET (English lookout), JOHN DAMICO (Italian 1st class passenger and professional dancer), FRANK CARLSON (American 2nd class passenger), a 3RD CLASS PASSENGER, and a STOKER

Track 5 (M, 50s-70s): Plays EDWARD J. SMITH (English captain of the Titanic)

Track 6 (M or F, 30s-50s): Plays J. BRUCE ISMAY (English chairman and managing director of the White Star Line)

Track 7 (M, 20s-30s): Plays CHARLES CLARK (English 2nd class passenger) and a 1ST CLASS PASSENGER

Track 8 (M, 30s-40s): Plays EDGAR BEAN (American 2nd class passenger), JOSEPH BOXHALL (English navigator and the Titanic's 4th officer), and a 3RD CLASS PASSENGER

Track 9 (M, 50s-70s): Plays ISIDOR STRAUS (German-American 1st class passenger, politician, and co-founder of Macy's), ROBERT HICHENS (English quartermaster), and a 3RD CLASS PASSENGER

Track 10 (M, 20s-30s): Plays JIM FARRELL (Irish 3rd class passenger), a 1ST CLASS PASSENGER, and a STOKER

Track 11 (M or F, 30s-50s): Plays HENRY SAMUEL ETCHES (English 1st class stewards) and HERBERT PITMAN (English 3rd officer)

Track 12 (M or F, 30s-50s): Plays WILLIAM MURDOCH (Scottish 1st officer) and BASS PLAYER (English band member)

Track 13 (M or F, 30s-50s): Plays CHARLES LIGHTOLLER (English 2nd officer) and a 3RD CLASS PASSENGER

Track 14 (M or F, late teens-20s): Plays BELLBOY (English bellboy) and a 3RD CLASS PASSENGER

Track 15 (F, 30s-40s): Plays ALICE BEANE (American 2nd class passenger) and a 3RD CLASS PASSENGER

Track 16 (F, 20s-30s): Plays CAROLINE NEVILLE (English 2nd class passenger), a STEWARDESS, and a 1ST CLASS PASSENGER

Track 17 (F, 20s-30s): Plays KATE MCGOWAN (Irish 3rd class passenger) and a 1ST CLASS PASSENGER

Track 18 (F, 20s-30s): Plays KATE MURPHEY (Irish 3rd class passenger), MRS. DAMICO (Italian 1st class passenger and professional dancer), and a STEWARDESS

Track 19 (F, 20s-30s): Plays KATE MULLINS (Irish 3rd class passenger), MADELEINE ASTOR (American 1st class passenger, socialite, and wife of real estate magnate John Jacob Astor IV), and a STEWARDESS

Track 20 (F, 50s-70s): Plays IDA STRAUS (German-American 1st class passenger, homemaker, and wife of Macy's co-owner Isidor Straus) and a 3RD CLASS PASSENGER
