JEEVES INTERVENES - Center Stage Jackson

Center Stage Jackson is excited to announce auditions for its dinner theatre production of Jeeves Intervenes by Margaret Raether, directed by Veronica Long.

Auditions will be held on Sunday December 2 from 1:00pm-4:00pm and Monday December 3 from 6:00pm-9:00pm at Jackson's First Presbyterian Church (
743 W. Michigan Avenue, Jackson, Michigan 49201). Parking and entrance are located at the rear of the church. Callbacks will be held on Wednesday December 5, 6:30pm-9:30pm in the same location.

In Jeeves Intervenes, 1920s high-society London is once again thrown into chaos by hapless playboy Bertie Wooster, this time in cahoots with his old school chum Eustace Bassington-Bassington. The two hatch a brilliant plan to dupe their meddling relatives in order to save Bertie from an undesired marriage and Eustace from an unwanted job in India. But will the ever-faithful manservant Jeeves be able to rescue these bumbling fools from themselves?

Performances of Jeeves Intervenes will be held over three weekends, February 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, and March 1, 2, 3, 2019 at the Sandhill Crane Vineyards (
4724 Walz Rd. Jackson, MI 49201). Doors to Friday and Saturday performances will open at 7:00pm, and 4:00pm on Sundays.

This production calls for four males and two females, ages eighteen and older. Actors should prepare a one minute comedic monologue that fits the style of the show – memorization is preferred. Sample monologues will be available upon request and at auditions if needed. Actors will NOT be required to do British accents for the show, and are asked not to prepare monologues with an accent. Actors should come dressed to move (it is recommended to bring a water bottle) and should bring scheduling conflicts for December 10 through March 3, 2019. Resumes and head shots are accepted but not required.

Rehearsals will be held at Jackson's First Presbyterian Church Monday through Thursday 6:30pm-9:30pm December 10th-20th and January 8th-February 1st. Rehearsals will then move to the Sandhill Crane Vineyards, February 4th-February 13th 6:00pm-10:00pm. All actors will be called for most rehearsals. Rehearsals after the move to the winery through final performance are mandatory.
