Auditions for SBCT’s next Kids4Kids production, I Hate Shakespeare by Steph DeFerie, will be held June 26 and June 27 from 6-8 in SBCT’s Warner Studio Theatre, 403 N. Main Street in South Bend.
What’s the big deal about Shakespeare? SBCT Kids4Kids will answer all the problems you have with Shakespeare in wild and wacky ways: Romeo and Julie on a dating game show, Othello working out his jealousy issue on a talk show, and oh yes, zombies and talking cows! You will never see Shakespeare quite the same way after this fun and inventive show!
Director Tori Abram-Copenhaver is seeking students from rising 6th graders to high school seniors to fill out this imaginative take on appreciating the works of William Shakespeare. Approximately 8-10 actors will be cast in multiple roles, even across gender. Openings for backstage roles will also be considered at auditions.
Scripts are available to check out with a refundable $10 deposit at the SBCT Box Office, 403 N. Main Street South Bend, open from 12-6. Please call ahead
