HAND TO GOD
Note From the Director:
Howdy, Folks! I hope you are all having a restful Fall Break that definitely isn't filled with extra work assigned for the long weekend. My name is Vaughn Melbourn, and I am the director for Basement Arts' 'Hand To God,' performing November 12th & 13th. While much of the audition information can be found in the beautiful graphic above, below you can find more details as well as the sign-up link for auditions. I am really excited about this production as I hope you are too so I look forward to seeing your beautiful faces at auditions or in the audience :)
Synopsis:
After the death of his father, meek Jason finds an outlet for his anxiety at the Christian Puppet Ministry, in the devoutly religious, relatively quiet small town of Cypress, Texas. Jason’s complicated relationships with the town pastor, the school bully, the girl next door, and—most especially—his mother are thrown into upheaval when Jason’s puppet, Tyrone, takes on a shocking and dangerously irreverent personality all its own. Hand To God explores the startlingly fragile nature of faith, morality, and the ties that bind us. - Robert Askins
