GODSPELL – Auditions will be held on April 28 & 29, 2013 starting at 7pm.
What you need: Each person auditioning for Godspell should prepare a one minute monologue and at least 32 bars of music (in the appropriate key) staying within the genre of the show (selections from the show are acceptable). Please have all sheet music clearly marked and ready to play. An accompanist will be provided for you. No acapella or recorded auditions please.You may be asked to work in groups, to create and present a brief scene/improvisation. You may also be asked to dance, so please dress comfortably for your audition.Please note that Godspell is an ENSEMBLE show, and with the exception of Jesus – who acts mainly as a facilitator and less of a “performer” – there are no leads. The dramatic weight of the show is equally divided among the principal cast members.We recommend a picture and resume to accompany your auditions, however these are not required.

What the directors are looking for: We are looking for actors of ALL ages, body types, backgrounds … essentially a truly diverse group of performers. We are looking for performers who are comfortable with performing and capable of memorization, improvisation, with the ability to dance or move. Actors must be at least 18 years of age to participate.Rehearsals for Godspell will begin in early May and continue until the performances on June 14 and 15. Rehearsals will be held at night throughout the week during this 6 week rehearsal period (May through June). It is important that all actors are available for all rehearsals.
