CAROUSEL - Houston Grand Opera
The Houston Grand Opera Association announces dancer and dancer/singer auditions for its 2015-16 production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Carousel. The production is choreographed and directed by Tony and Emmy award winner Rob Ashford. Ensemble members rehearse weekday evenings and weekends. This audition will have both Dance and Vocal components to it. Auditionees are encouraged but not required to take part in both components. For the Vocal component please prepare one song from the classical, "Golden Age" musical theater repertoire (ie. The selection must be in English and must be memorized. HGO will provide an accompanist, but singers are required to bring their own music in the key they wish to sing.
