AUDITIONS FOR BARE: A POP OPERA SET IN SIMI VALLEY
Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center is currently casting bare: a pop opera, a contemporary rock musical by Damon Intrabartolo and Jon Hartmere, Jr. featuring a pulsating rock score and emotionally charged story. The opera follows a group of teens wrestling with issues of identity, sexuality, and religion at a co-ed Catholic boarding school. Provocative, raw, and unyielding in its exploration of how today's generation navigates the tightrope between adolescence and adulthood, bare examines the consequences of baring a soul or hiding it from those who matter most. Rehearsals begin Nov. 10 with a heavier rehearsal schedule beginning Dec. 2013. The production runs Jan. 11 - Feb. 15 at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center in Simi Valley, CA.
Auditions will be held on October 23rd and October 24th at the Madelyn Clark Studios in North Hollywood, CA and October 27th and October 29th at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, 3050 Los Angeles Avenue in Simi Valley, CA.
