Casting Call for Annie Jr.

Musical Theatre of Anthem (MTA) announces auditions for
Annie Jr., a no-cut production for ages 6-18. This two-week summer workshop runs from June 4-17, 2018, with auditions taking place June 4 at 9 a.m.


Show Synopsis: With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms
everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.


The award-winning production staff includes director Laura O’Meara, vocal director Melissa Davis. choreographer Lyndsie Clymer, and stage manager Sarah Brayer.

Rehearsals are from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. June 4-9 (Monday-Saturday) and June 11-15 (Monday- Friday).


General vocal auditions will be held Monday, June 4, at 9:00 a.m. Auditions are held at
MTA’s new theatre performance space, located at 42201 N 41st Drive, Suite B100, Anthem, AZ 85086. Those auditioning should prepare a musical theatre song, 16-32 bars or one minute in length. Bring an accompaniment CD or iPod to sing with; you may also sing a capella if needed.


Please have your registration materials (available on the website) completed prior to coming to the audition. If you are unable to make the scheduled audition time, please contact musicaltheatreofanthem@gmail.com for an alternate appointment time. Auditions, callbacks, and rehearsals are all held at MTA’s theatre performance space at 42201 N 41st Drive, Suite B100, Anthem, AZ 85086

Tuition and costume fee for this production is $325, with a 10% sibling discount. Scholarships are available through the Lyle Kishbaugh Scholarship Fund for participants who might otherwise not be able to participate. Please visit our website for more information.
