ACT is thrilled to present the second musical of our 66th season, the HIT show from Ted Swindley Productions, Always... Patsy Cline. The musical is a tribute to legendary country singer Patsy Cline and her unlikely friendship with Louise Seger, a Houston homemaker and Patsy's biggest fan. This heartfelt revue includes many of Patsy's unforgettable hits such as Crazy, I Fall to Pieces, Sweet Dreams, and Walking After Midnight. Longtime lovers of Patsy and new fans will all appreciate the show's deep emotional performances, live music, and down-home country humor. Roles are available for two women. The role of Patsy will have an understudy. ACT welcomes actors of all abilities and experience levels to audition. Casting the following roles: Patsy Cline: Female, age 25-35. Seeking a dynamic and passionate actor/singer who can embody Patsy Cline in voice and spirit. The ability to mimic Patsy's unique vocal sound is imperative. Louise Seger: Female, age 25-60. A strong-willed, funny Texan woman and an engaging storyteller. She has a great deal of interaction with the audience as she relates the friendship she develops with Patsy. Strong vocal talent and comedic sense are needed for this role. For the audition, please prepare 16 bars from a country song or from a musical in the same style as Patsy Cline's music. A speaker will be available at auditions to play a track, or you may sing a cappella.
