Casting Call for A Year With Frog and Toad KIDS
Musical Theatre of Anthem (MTA) announces auditions for A Year with Frog and
Toad KIDS, a delightful musical based on Arnold Lobel's well-loved books. Auditions for this no-cut production will be held August 11-12, 2018 for kids ages 6-11.
The treasured characters from A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS tell the story of a friendship that endures throughout the seasons. Waking from hibernation, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. Throughout the year, two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that
make them unique and special.
GENERAL VOCAL AUDITIONS will be held August 11 at 10:30 a.m. at MTA’s theatre performance space at 42323 N. Vision Way, Anthem, AZ 85086. Those auditioning should prepare a musical theatre song, 16-32 bars or one minute in length. Bring an accompaniment CD or iPod to sing with; you may also sing a capella if needed.
Please have your registration materials (available on the website) completed prior to coming to the audition. The tuition and costume fee for this production is $325, with a 10% sibling discount. Audition Preparation Workshops will be held on Thursday, August 9, from 4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Friday, August 10, from 4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. at MTA. During these 90-minute sessions, participants will be instructed on cold reads, acting technique, characterization and more. Participants of the workshops will get to audition prior to
