Nebraska Theatre Caravan Adult Auditions
For 2016-2017 Touring Season of
A Christmas Carol
The Nebraska Theatre Caravan will hold adult auditions, ages 19 and older, for anticipated national touring productions of A Christmas Carol. Auditions will be held Saturday, March 12 at 10:00 a.m. at the Omaha Community Playhouse, 6915 Cass Street. Please enter through the stage door on the west side of the building.
The Nebraska Theatre Caravan is seeking performers for all roles and ensemble; casting details are available at
www.nebraskatheatrecaravan.org. The auditions schedule includes singing and prepared monologues. Applicants should bring a resumé and headshot, a prepared full-length song as well as a 32 bar cutting, with sheet music, two prepared monologues (one contemporary, one classical) for an audition package that totals no more than three minutes. Be prepared to possibly do cold readings with a standard RP dialect and/or Cockney.
Estimated contract dates are early November through late December 2016.
Note: These ARE touring productions and performances will be conducted across the country. Rehearsals will be held 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. All actors must be available to attend all rehearsals during stated times, as well as all performances.

The Nebraska Theatre Caravan, the professional touring wing of the Omaha Community Playhouse, was founded in 1975 as a joint project between the Omaha Playhouse and the Nebraska Arts Council “to bring together a small group of professional performer-teachers for workshops into Omaha and out-state. Since its inception, the Nebraska Theatre Caravan has produced over 100 fully mounted productions and has played to over 160 Nebraska communities and hundreds of others across the nation. The national tour of A Christmas Carol has performed in over 600 cities in 49 states and 4 Canadian provinces, and has been seen by over 3 million audience members.
