Summer is in full swing at New Jersey Performing Arts Center as they feature a line-up of star studded performances, "Sounds of the City" free concerts, and the popular free family event, "Family Fair at Theater Square."
The free Thursday evening series, "Sounds of the City," is sponsored by The Horizon Foundation. It includes a variety of performances to suit every taste in music. Three concerts are scheduled for July; Felix Hernandez's Rhythm Review at 5:00 pm on 7/11, Naughty by Nature Hip-Hop Trio at 6:30 pm on 7/18, and the Bernie Worrell Orchestra is featured at 6:30 pm on 7/25.
NJ PAC rocks when Cindi Lauper takes the stage on Sunday night July 7th at 7:30 pm in her "She's So Unusual" tour. More than "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" as Lauper's energetic, musical style will please her fans of yesterday and today.
TGT, Tyrese, Ginuwine, and Tank, three of Rhythm and Blues top male artists form a "Supergroup" that will charm the NJ PAC audience on Saturday, July 20th at 8:00 pm.
Terry Fator, singer, comedian, and celebrity impressionist will perform at NJ PAC on 7/26 at 8:00 pm. Since his victory season on "America's Got Talent," Fator has been in demand by audiences everywhere. His show promises to entertain and amuse the New Jersey audience.
Families and kids of all ages are invited to NJ PAC's Theater Square on Saturday, July 27th to enjoy a free event, "Family Fair at Theater Square," a summertime celebration of music, theater and dance. The festivities start at 2:00 pm.
Rounding out the NJ PAC month of July is the sound of Gospel, BeBe Winans and the sister duo of Mary Mary on Saturday, 7/27 at 8:00 pm. The heavenly pairing of these performers will deliver a spirited performance of Soul, Rhythm and Blues and Contemporary Gospel music. Don't miss this chance to celebrate Gospel music at its best.
