After reprising his most popular performance of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" on FOX's American Idol earlier this week, Constantine Maroulis and the Rock of Ages band played to a packed house at Taste in Red Bank on Friday night, February 19th.
Maroulis gave the audience a glimpse into his upcoming album with his newly released single "Here I Come" also available now on iTunes. Along with his own music, the Tony Award nominee and the Rock of Ages band covered some of pop music's number one hits and classic rock songs during the three set performance.
While rocking the mic, Constantine showed his support for Red Bank business, Poor Cat Designs® by wearing jewelry from the brand. Poor Cat Designs® owner, Joseph Romanowski says, "I design jewelry especially for my friends Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi, so it's just natural that when a rocker like Constantine comes to town he be wearing Poor Cat®."
Since finishing in sixth place on American Idol, Maroulis has taken Broadway by storm in Rock of Ages, Jekyll and Hyde and The Wedding Singer. Colts Neck native Barry Habib, one of Rock of Ages largest investors and executive producer of the Rock of Ages 2012 film was also on the mic throughout the night.
Constantine joins a list of performers at the Original LGBT Expo at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City, March 12th and 13th, representing BROADWAY SINGS FOR PRIDE. He can also be seen with the Rock of Ages band on May 13 in Tarrytown, NY for the Make-A-Wish 30th Anniversary Wish Ball and at Brother Jimmy's BBQ, May 21 on E. 16th Street in NYC.
