Eleven year-old actress Catherine Ashmore Bradley has landed the role of Small Alison in the New York Regional Premiere of Fun Home at the White Plains Performing Arts Center from October 12 - 28, 2018.
A Rumson, New Jersey native, Bradley was featured in the National Broadway Tour of A Christmas Story Musical as Mary Beth and starred in The Secret Garden as Mary Lennox at the Heartwood Regional Theater in Maine this past summer.
Catherine is a skilled dancer and has been training since the age of four and most recently was featured in international recording star J Balvin's music video for GEF France. She is also a member of the NYC Tap Crew and the Project Dance competition team, most recently earning the I Dance 4a Cure Heart of Gold Award.
Recent television and film credits include Penny Baker Happy! on the SYFY Channel (starring Law & Order: SVU's Christopher Meloni) and most recently the lead role of Sandra in the independent film, Mr. Sam (starring Sarah Polley), produced by Zeus Pictures.
"I am so excited to take on the role of Small Alison in Fun Home! This is a character who goes on a very complex and emotional journey and I am looking forward to the challenge of portraying this journey in an honest and real way. I am so thankful to the WPPAC for this special opportunity and to share the stage with such an incredibly talented cast", says Bradley.
The 2015 Tony Award Winning Best Musical Fun Home is based on Alison Bechdel's best-selling graphic memoir. This groundbreaking production introduces us to Alison at three different ages, revealing memories of her uniquely dysfunctional family that connect with her in surprising new ways.
