The Trip to Bountiful at Billings Studio Theatre

This is the poignant story of Carrie Watts, who is living the twilight of her life trapped in an apartment in the 1940's Houston, Texas with a controlling daughter-in-law and a hen-pecked son. Her fondest wish- just once before she dies- is to revisit Bountiful, the small Texas town of her youth, which she still refers to as "home." She is sure that if she can return to Bountiful she will regain her dignity. She sets out to refill her dreams, with results that are both heartbreaking and brilliantly life affirming.
