The Battle of Shallowford at Billings Studio Theatre

It's a quite Sunday night in October of 1938 at Burton Mock's general store in Shallowford, North Carolina. A host of colorful locals arrive at the store only interested in local gossip until they turn on the radio and learn that Martians have invaded! They fall hook, line and sinker for one of the greatest hoaxes in history- Orson Wells' historic radio broadcast of War of the Worlds. They grab their pitchforks and hunting rifles and run out to do battle with the invading Martians and save the world.
